lego movie theme

I really like it --- can we make this a permanent selection or will it be seasonal only?

I wish engineering had warned me of this theme. If it's seasonal only (I'll check), my son is going to be HIGHLY disappointed when it goes away

Adding a vote to make it into the permanent collection.

The theme is seasonal. Let us know what you think and whether you’d like to keep it.

I like the look. Nice change of pace, though I don't think I'd keep it after the promo is over.

It took me a bit to get used to it, but I like having the choice. Probably something I personally would use off and on. My grandkids would most likely like to see the theme be permanent on our Rokus :D

I think all the seasonal themes should be made available permanently after they are released. There are too few themes available by default (Five if I remember correctly, and two are nearly identical shades of drab grey).

I love the theme. You should have a seasonal "surprise" theme. Makes the Roku more fun!

While I thought that the various "holiday" themes were..."cute"...I didn't even know what this theme was about. it hurt my eyes, for cryin' out loud!

I don't have small children in the house. When I did, "Legos" meant nothing to me but pain in my foot. I would wager that I'm not the ONLY person that could have survived quite nicely without the unasked for switcheroo. Look, I've got nothing against marketing, per se, but....really?

Pretty sure if you choose one of the non-default themes, you won't get the seasonal changes. Though this one is advertising-related (tied to the on-sale release of The Lego Movie on Amazon), so I'm not sure.

To avoid the seasonal themes you have to turn them off in the settings menu. It is really that simple. I have done so as I don't like unexpected change. It is a choice it is not forced at all.

It was announced several months ago that third party developers would be able to create and sell (or give away) custom themes:
https://gigaom.com/2014/02/06/roku-to-o ... evelopers/

It'd be great to see Roku also offer all of the seasonal and promotional themes they create in the 'Themes' section of the channel store(or wherever the third party themes end up being distributed from), whenever that feature launches. Also, Shawn, I'm adding a +1 to the request to make the Lego theme a permanent one if possible.

It appears to be for the movie, in general, as there are ads for it on Amazon, Vudu, and MGo (i.e., not just Amazon).

I would love to see it made available permanently. I have a Roku in my son's room that this would look great on.
