Anyone test yet?

I actually just wrote Comcast another complaint email last night, since FireTV just got HBO GO and Comcast is blocking it.

once HBO and Showtime start offering stand alone OTT service I imagine every content provider will stop dragging their feet about authorizing channels or lose subscribers

+1... Correct ! For myself and countless 1000s of other folks who do not have access to cable providers and 'no or poor' antenna reception, if cable channels finally start offering service via Roku at a fair 'fee', I would welcome it.

After all, it is a obvious venue for internet users. To all those TV and cable providers who already are showing/offering programming via Roku, thank you.

According to the very recent FCC filing @ http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/comment/view?id=60001005352 both "HBO Go" and "Showtime Anytime" should be available to Comcast subscribers.

Finally. I now have no reason to switch to Apple TV or something else. Tested and working (HBO Go) on my Roku2 XS.

Good story on it: http://arstechnica.com/business/2014/12/comcast-to-stop-blocking-hbo-go-and-showtime-on-roku-streaming-devices/

No two ways about it. Comcast wanted shakedown money. Think of the other 2 companies that could stream HBO GO over Comcast to set top devices: Microsoft and Apple... plenty of cash to pay ransom to make their platform look better.
