Good or bad?: TCL Roku Smart LED TVs?

Wed Jan 14, 2015 7:32 pm

Should i consider buying a TCL TV with Roku?

There have been threads on TCL with Roku tvs, that they have issues.
Looking at the one in the link below, buyers give it an almost perfect score.

Dumb question: Do they have a built in Roku,? or just easy to hook up with a Roku

i have not watched ABC since Happy Days, nor Disney ever. I would pay a $1 to keep them off my TV. so no loss there

It's a good buy. The picture is pretty good overall, exceptional for the price. The build quality is well above average for price range. The experience is great, integration is very tight with roku/tv. In short, it's a good buy. I'm a bit happier with the $600 plasma as far as picture quality, range of features...but I find myself wishing it had the roku firmware. It's just such a nice all in one package, the integration of other components if you don't use an AVR is a really cool feature too.

IMO if you are looking at LCD televisions of equal size in that price range, you won't do better.
