Has this channel/app on my Fire TV device, offers solid content for a free app. Hopefully it will grow in time.

I re-downloaded the Pluto Tv app on my firestick and they are improving on content than when I first saw mention of it.For someone who is a cord cutter it's not a half bad app. They are at least trying to offer variety in HD and it will be a decent app for the Roku line up.Sorta mini HD cable line up so to speak.
I used to have a life before Roku!

Hello:

A lot of the content available on Pluto.TV is already available as stand-a-lone channels on Roku. Once this is released for Roku we can delete and clean up from our menus the overlapping channels. This should make room for other channels, less scrolling to get to your desired channel or clear up some memory. I remember doing this with the original set of Fawesome channels that were first only individual channels and are now bundled in the Fawesome channel.

Just a tip.

^ FWIW it installed on the Roku 3 but not old 2 XS.

Definitely has some launch bugs (takes too long on launch and sometimes result in crash to exit, plus guide navigation can be glitchy). But it's impressive when working, even if the Roku app doesn't have all of the channels available on the Pluto website (could be streaming format limitations, and/or licensing restrictions such as no Hulu content).

When I contacted Pluto.TV urging them to add a Roku channel a long time ago, they directed me to contact Roku. I assume there were either technical or legal issues or both which stood in the way. Your report on glitches and limits on content might be an indication that it is both. Hopefully, the technical glitches can be resolved with time. I certainly understand that the licensing issues may not. Whatever it can stream through Roku is better than nothing from Pluto.TV. I won't complain. I'm just glad to see it finally come to Roku.

Re: Pluto.TV Coming to Roku

Hello:

Anyone with a Roku 1 (Model 2710) confirm if they were able to install Pluto.TV Roku channel. I tried to add from website and smartphone. It says "Installed" because I have a Roku 1 but will not install on my 2 XS's. From the Roku site it does say that it is not supported on 2 XS and to click continue to install on my other Roku. I do so, it says "Installed" but nothing shows. I have done a system update to force installation and I did a soft restart. I still can't get this channel on my Roku 1. Anyone else with a Roku 1 have this problem? Any confirmations, much appreciated.

PD: Pluto.TV does not show on the Channel Store of my Roku 1 yet it displays and apparently "installed" ok from both Roku app and via Roku website. Any thoughts?

I downloaded Pluto TV to the computer a while back. I have the Chromecast stick and I can cast Pluto TV to the TV. It is really a great app with so many great channels. It will be nice to have it on the Roku. I bought the Chromecast stick so I could directly cast from my Win 7 laptop to the TV. With the Roku, I cannot do that.

Won't install on 3050 (XD) either. Not that I wanted it (everything on Pluto is already on other channels I have), but I was curious to see if it would install.
