Roku tech support tells me Roku 2 will not work with a Logitech (or any other) IR remote. Many postings say different. Before I buy, what is the truth about Roku boxes and IR?
My home theater equipment is behind solid doors and I use an IR repeater.

All Roku set top boxes, including the Roku 2 will work with any IR remote that supports Roku codes. Most universal remotes, including Logitech, support Roku codes. Now, if you're talking a specific Logitech remote that really old, predating Roku, it might not.

The Roku 2 comes with an IR remote.

The Roku HDMI Streaming Stick will not work with IR remotes.

I have a Roku 2 upstairs and it works fine with my Harmony remote. I also have used the remote from a Roku 3 on it and it worked just fine as well...

I just picked up a ten dollar RCA remote that came with a Roku code and it works fine with my 2 as well as my 2XS.
