My roku 2 xs I think has died or the power supply has died. Sling has an offer to get the new roku 2 4210 for free with 3 months prepaid subscription.
I have the 1st roku 3 model and i purchased the voice remote only from the new roku 3 on ebay.
Can I pair the voice remote with the roku 2 and still download my angry bird games to the new roku 2 and play them?

There have been users on this forum that said the used a Roku 3 remote with the Roku 2 (4210). Here's one: http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=88883&p=500528#p500528

I don't see that specifically the Voice Search function works, but the WiFi Direct and headphones do.

As for Angry Birds, did it load on your Roku 3? There's your answer.

About the Roku 2 XS, I'd suggest verifying the power supply. Not trying to talk you out of a new Roku 2, but a power supply is cheaper than a new Roku, if you're otherwise comfortable with the 2 XS.

Voice search works fine when using the Roku 3 remote with the Roku 2. No clue about downloading and using Angry Birds though.

Yes Angry Birds did load on my roku 3 but I also have a roku 2 (2720r) model that it will not load on so I was not sure it will load on the new 2 since it is not game capable either. I figure it will but not sure.
I went ahead and ordered the power supply for my 2xs. It was like $16 with shipping. I hope that fixes it if not I will get the 2 through slingtv.

The current Roku 2 (4210) is game capable. It doesn't come with a gaming remote, but the WiFi remote will work with it. The Roku 2 model 2720 is not game-capable.

I got a new power supply from roku for my 2xs and all is working fine now. Thanks for all the replies
