HDR playback and a fix for Netflix reverting to 1080p when 10bit 4K is enabled. Also, audio reverts to
PCM in 10bit mode as well.

Is is possible to make Roku Media Player respect display aspect ratio flags? I set all my video files to 16:9, and video players on a PC will display that. RMP still displays the original aspect ratio of 2.40:1 or whatever.

While it would be impractical on the actual remote, it would be great to be able to use cut/paste or something similar on the desktop or mobile app to be able to arrange channels more quickly. Every time I add a channel, I have to decide whether to leave it at the end of the list or use * and do the button trek for a minute or two. Yeah, I'm lazy.

How about HDR for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Vudu.

I only ask for one simple little trivial thing: A clock display that's accurate.

I'm not sure if it was several minutes off before software version 7.1.0 build 4062 came out, but my Roku 3 is consistently off now.

I saw on another forum here someone mentioned a newer software version fixed their clock. My Roku 3 claims no newer version is available when I went into the system menu and tried.

I signed up to this forum just to make this request after wasting at least an hour of my time with teh goog and finding lots of questions, many guesses from non-Roku folks, and zero info from anyone I could identify as an agent of Roku. Maddening.

Thank you very much.

Neal

UPDATE: As of today (7/12/16) my Roku 3 with SW version 7.2.0 Build 4100 appears to be displaying the correct time. Thank you!

How about an update for Netflix on the ROKU 2 that'd support the user profiles so we can utilize the content ratings system, or at least the PIN protection? With a PIN set for specific content, the current version of the Netflix channel doesn't support PIN entry :(
My ROKU Info:
Roku Premier+ (Wireless | Static IP) - HDMI (1080P)
Roku Premier+ (Wireless | Static IP) - HDMI (1080P)
Spectrum Internet (100 Mbps / 10 Mbps)
Netflix; Hulu Plus; Amazon Prime

We use our Roku when we travel, and have found that the security subsystem has issues when the router includes AES. At home it is not an issue, I can adjust the settings in my router, but cannot do that on the road. They fixed the login issue for hotels, please fix the other aspect that prevents connections when the router security includes AES.

ROKU Feature Request: ability to limit bandwidth used

Now that U-verse (and others) has implemented data caps are are charging for overages, it would be very good if our Roku's had a setting to limit the bandwidth used by the device. I know there is a hidden menu option that can do this, but I think it might be time for this to be part of the standard features.

Until the 3rd Quarter thread starts...

I would like to see the ability to set up a WiFi remote capable device (such as a Roku 2/3 or a Stck) with a mobile device. Kinda like setting up a Chromecast can be done.

DD+ to DD conversion on the optical port.
Only reason I bought the Roku 4 was for the Opti out. Didn't even occur to me that ANYONE would put out a 4K supported device that included OptiOut but does not have DAC capability. The product is useless without it, and I feel misled. I don't even see this listed among the top feature requests under the first post and it has been routinely requested since October of last year (I consider this not the same as "DTS-HD & TrueHD passthru"). Is it going to be provided or not.

Along with many others I too have been requesting DD+ to DD transcoding on the optical audio output of the Roku 4 since last October. The engineers who decided to add an optical port to the Roku 4, but failed to see how useful DD+ to DD transcoding would be for compatibility with not very old receivers that only understand DD, missed a great opportunity to differentiate the Roku 4 from both Apple and Amazon's newest players which dropped optical audio outputs which did provide DD+ to DD transcoding for backward compatibility with older receivers.

I too am dismayed and surprised to see that "DD+ to DD Transcoding on the Optical Audio Output Port" is not even listed among the list of prior top feature requests. There are several threads with active posts ranging from October to this month still seeking this feature.

I just want a simple 24p automatic option for use with services like vudu and Netflix..

The Roku mhl streaming stick w/oppo does 24p so why cant these newer and better streaming sticks do the same?

I would really like to see a simpler, unified login process. This could happen a few different ways

Option 1 - I can store my DirecTV password (or whatever) on my roku. When I login to a channel, and it asks for my provider, I can select DirecTV, and automatically login.

Option 2 - I can set up all my logins on my computer, and it would push through all of my devices

Option 3 - Once I set it up on one device, it pushes through to my other 3 devices in my house.

Thanks for your consideration!
David
