The Fall 2017 firmware is now shipping to members of the Roku Beta Developer Program. Developers interested in testing their channels against the latest firmware can enroll in the program here: http://go.roku.com/dev-beta
With this latest beta period, we're also allowing developers to test an upcoming RSG library containing complete visual screen components. You may have seen our blog post hinting at the library in May. All the necessary materials to get started developing with the new library are available to all developers who've been accepted into the Beta Program through the testing portal's UI.
Developers who've participated in the beta program for previous firmware releases will automatically begin receiving beta builds once they sign an updated non-disclosure act here: http://go.roku.com/reenroll
Once you re-enroll, be sure to review the Roku devices you've previously registered in the program, as they'll begin receiving the Fall OS shortly after your enrollment is completed. Email email@example.com to remove any registered devices from the beta program and revert back to the current production firmware.
The Beta Developer Program is your opportunity to try the latest Roku features, tools, and APIs before they're made publicly available. Not only that, but it provides a chance to catch firmware bugs before they ship to production, assuring your channels are not affected.
We appreciate your help refining the Roku platform!
