Compact Flash Card Problem

Wed Apr 13, 2005 12:53 pm

I just purchase a 1024 mb Kingston Elite Pro CF card to use as a storage device for my HD-1000. When I insert the card, the HD-1000 will not boot. If I wait until the unit boots, then insert the card, everything "locks up" and nothing will work. How do I go about fixing this problem? Thanks for any help!!!

I was finally able to exchange the Kingston card for a Sandisk after a great deal of hassels and you were correct. The HD-1000 found the Sandisk card immediately. Thanks for the helpful info!!!

Just had this exact same problem with a new PQI brand 2 GB CF. Guess I'll be using it in my digicam instead. :?

My Kingston 256 MB CF works fine in the HD1000.

I see that SanDisk is recommended. Is there a compatibility chart for the HD1000 and CF manufacturers?
