I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the "My Music" folder in XP set for sharing on the network and when I try to "find new shares" on the PB it just says no network servers found. I've rebooted both the PC and the Roku to see if that helped.

I have the PB hardwired directly into my Linksys Router with a 50' patch cord. I get an ip (192.168.1.101) so it is being seen. Am I supposed to make some setting on the router too?

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Try disabling the firewall on your XP box, if that allows your Roku to see your XP box then just create an exception for the Roku (and switch the firewall back on obviously).

Otherwise see if the 'messenger' tip here does you any good.

Ok, I feel like an idiot. I hadnt turned off my Norton Firewall (don't use XPs) and when I did the shares were found!

I allowed the ip through the firewall and reenabled it and all seems fine.
