Sorry for posting one more of these, but none of the ones kindly answered already seem to cover my problem. I have the HD1000 hardwired to my D-Link DI-514 wirless router through one of the LAN channels. The HD1000 gets an IP adress, and I have updated the software this way. However, no network shares are found! I tried manually adding a shared folder, but found no way to add manually the IP address of the server computer (which is 192.168.0.101, the HD1000 gets 192.168.0.103 - is this a problem?`). ANy advice?

So are you now running firmware 2.0.35?

The IP addressing sounds fine, your HD1000 and your computer are on the same subnet.

What OS is your server computer? Are you running any firewalls?

Yes, 2.05.35, and it seems it might have been firewall issues. After tweaking around with exceptions in both Norton and SP2 firewalls, I finally got them working.
