I copied the script on the Roku site to a file called swap.roku. It seems like it runs (I have 400mb free of 1gb on a CF card) as it says "please wait" for about 10 seconds, but no swap file appears be created.

The system info option says 0 size swap fle and the SDesk application says "warning - no swap file - system may be unstable". Boy is it!!!

Any ideas?? I have a feeling that the thing wouldn't crash every five minutes if it had a swap file. I've loaded it anew several times and from a few different sites (as well as a few different versions) and nothing seems to change.

telnet into the machine and run the script manually. The errors should answer the question of what's wrong.

odds are the execute permissions aren't on, so the script never runs.
