Slideshow transitions ?

Hello all,

just got my Roku HD1000 today and am trying to setup a few slideshows,

I am a photograpger s would like to show my clients shows that i have created

is it possible to create a show with transition effects & music attatched then play it with roku ?

if so what software would i need pl;ease ?

I suppose you could use any software that is capable of making DVD slideshows. Nero, Roxio, etc. etc. etc. Burn it to an "image" file, then deconstruct the image file into it's VOB's and play them on the Roku.

That's probably harder than it OUGHT to be, I'm sure there's easier ways, but so far nobody's created a really good 3rd-party "slideshow" native app for the Roku.

Thanks, that all sounds a bit complicated :)

barrygordon has created a Windows app to help build Roku "art packs" which will get you closer to what you want. If you want to do transitions you'll need to do something like dgburns suggested, otherwise give barry's tool a try: http://the-gordons.net/homepage/DownLoad.html
