# of allowed shares

The # of allowed shares is topped at 4, correct? Is there any way to increase that number manually?

Oh please say yes! I have to go and manually change which shares I can see depending on what I'm doing at that time.

If you manually edit /etc/smbprefs , changing '-' to '+' for the shares you want mounted, it should mount those shares at boot.

We enforce the 4-share limit in the UI is for memory consumption reasons. If you increase the number of mounted shares, you may have stability issues. A swap file or rev b. unit is recommended, but it can't hurt to try.

I'll give that a try this weekend, thanks!
