Can't see Roku apps on Mac Share (2.0.35)

Mon Nov 07, 2005 9:33 pm

After upgrading to 2.0.35 the PhotoBridge no longer sees the Roku applications on my Mac share. Any ideas?

What version did you previously have? Does it see and mount the share ok? Does it see any other files on the share?

I was running 2.0.34. No problems with finding Roku apps with that version.

With the Mac, of course, you mount the entire home directory tree. At the top level I have a directory called RokuApps (~/RokuApps) that contains my third party apps. Prior to upgrading to 2.0.35, these apps showed up on the bottom of the home screen. Now... nothing.

I can still browse my Mac share to get to my photos and music

Not sure what's going on, but you might want to try SharePoints; it will let you share individual folders (rather than your whole home directory).

I've found it speeds up reboots considerably, since the Roku is not scanning my entire home directory each time. Of course, some day (soon, I hope) that won't be an issue, but right now reboots seem to be a frequent requirement for PhotoBridge operation :D
