Problem with the listen App since update to Beta 2.0.36

Sat Nov 19, 2005 7:24 am

Hi,

after the update to Beta 2.0.36 i have some problems with listen app. When i play my music files the first 5 minutes, all mp3 with 192kbps, the music stops all 5-10 sec and i see rebuffering for 2 sec and then the music continues.

After 5 minutes playing music, the problem is gone. Mmmh, with version 2.0.35 everything works fine.

My network is okay, because i play ripped DVD´s with mplay without any problems. :?

Thanks.

Greets

Joachim

Mmmhh, very strange. After a downgrade to 2.0.35 all problems were gone. :?

Now i have ugraded to 2.0.36 and the problems are again there. My PB i connected via a wireless to ethernet bridge 54Mbit to a Buffalo Linkstation. Is it the speed of my network, but why does it work with 2.0.35?

RokuDave, any idea??

Thanks

Joachim

Hmmm... Perhaps the increased segment size of 2.0.36 is making your linkstation sad. What software is the linkstation running? You could try changing your segment size manually. See this post: http://www.rokulabs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=32265#32265

Hi Dave

the Software of my linkstation is V 1.47

bradfors: Are you using a linkstation, too?

Thanks

Hi Dave,

today i have installed sonica from bpwwer. It plays my mp3´s perfect and there is no issue like with sonata.

Can it be a problem with the internal buffers of sonata since the changes to the segment size?

thanks and greets

Buffering Problem with Version 2.0.36

I have also experienced a music file buffering problem with the latest beta upgrade. I am going to downgrade to the earlier version; please let me know when this is fixed.

Same here - Buffering every couple of minutes

I'm experiencing the same problems. Definitely seems like it's a result of going to .36

Hi - I rarely post but have indeed noticed the same behavior on my box (wireless). Glad I'm not the only one, but bummed that it seems to be a bug/regression... --Erik
