Tue Oct 25, 2011 2:04 am

Hi All,
I have a Roku2 XS and was wondering if adding an micro SD card will increase the buffer size when streaming or is it just for extra channels and game program storage?

It's just for channel/game storage.

So, is there no way to increase the buffer size on a Roku2 XS? Do we have official confirmation from the firmware writers of the Roku2 XS that an 8gig MicroSD card won't help buffering?

the microSD card is an optional add-on for storage, not to increase buffer size. If you are having problems with constant rebuffering there is something else going on in your setup.

That's correct, the presence of the SD card doesn't affect buffering. See also viewtopic.php?f=28&t=41920&p=285602#p285602
