Isn't it strange that Google will not sell movies to a Google device yet are jumping through hoops (both with Play and Youtube) to get them on Macs and Windows?
Only until you count up the number of GoogleTV devices and then count the number of Macs and Windows PCs
. I'm hopefully that when(if) the new GTV hardware comes out, they'll start supporting their 'Play' content on it...it would look really
bad if the second-generation GTV stuff is also locked out of their own content store.
I don't let them off the hook so easy. It's just lazy and short sighted. A million or so devices is nothing to sneeze at. Then consider they they wrote the code and made it Honeycomb compliant. The Revue has few differences other than forcing landscape mode. Heck, Amazon is more interested in it then they are. That's why Amazon is so big and Google is resting on it's search engine.
Many apps that they "say" won't work just haven't been turned on for the Revue. I know because I use many of those apps daily. I even get update notices about them but can't update them directly through the store. If I got the Play app (can't be bothered) I bet it would work fine.
