Noob question on adding channels

Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:44 am

I've been wanting to use the Roku as a replacement to Cable TV. I found this site:
http://www.roku-channels.com/
Many of the channels listed do not have a "Code" field listed. How do I add these channels?
I really want to get Nickolodean to get the kids off my back.

There's not really a Nickelodeon channel, but you can get some content from Nick. Look at NowhereTV on NowhereMan's Roku page for a good source of kids content. Be aware that there is a lot of non-kids content. I'm not saying adult content, but stuff that certainly doesn't cater to the Nickelodeon crowd.

A good source for finding content is http://catastrophegirlsrokuchanneldata.blogspot.com/, which is one of the most up-to-date listings of private channels.

No, I'm not affiliated with either of these; I've simply found them to be good resources.

If you don't see a code on http://www.roku-channels.com/ in my experience the channel can be found on the ROKU Store or it just doesn't exist.

Go to: http://streamfree.tv/apps/roku-private- ... nd-family/ and of the channels listed you should add NowhereMan Private Channel Code H9DWC
I've added all of them, but NowhereMan has the better programing.

NetFlix has a great selection of kids programing, specifically Barney.

You should also add the Disney channel, http://www.roku.com/roku-channel-store#7 if you have a six year old they won't mind the clips.

I used to subscribe to BabyFirst TV, but some of the programing is available in NetFlix.

FYI, Don't add my channel to the Roku your kids will have access too.
Private channel : SCORETV https://owner.roku.com/Add/SCORETV
