Newbie here. So I bought a Roku LT via ebay second hand. Seller said it came with all original accessories, etc. However when I got the box, the seller had provided me with an HDMI cable, rather than the supplied composite A/V cable. Now, reason I need this cable is the Roku is going in my bedroom TV which doesn't have HDMI, but the standard Red/White/Yellow connectors.
Trying to get hold of this composite A/V cable seems to be quite hard. I know that Roku in the USA sells them directly:
However, I don't live in the USA (live in HK).
I've found the following sold at Deal Extreme:
http://dx.com/p/3-5mm-male-to-3-rca-mal ... 06?item=15
http://dx.com/p/4-pin-3-5mm-minijack-to ... 33?item=35
From various research I understand the most important thing is to make sure that the cable has three rings on the single connector side (please correct me if I am wrong). Based on this, would either of the Deal Extreme cables work. In general would any 3.5mm A/V cable with three rings on the single connector side work?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
