I have downloaded the Roku app for android from Google.
I can log into my Roku account.
It shows the Roku 3 in available devices.
However when I select it, I get "Player not on Network"
I've tried the manual setup and still no connection.
It may have something to do with your Ethernet network's IP addressing. I experience the same problem because I use a non-industry-standard IP addressing scheme with my Ethernet network. I have found my Roku units can be accessed with the Roku app when using industry-standard IP addressing that most Ethernet router manufacturers use; i.e., 192.168.0.X, 192.168.1.x, 10.0.0.x, but cannot be accessed when using non-industry-standard IP addressing; i.e., 3.1.20.x, 222.222.222.x. I believe the problem lies with the Roku units and not with the Roku app because I experience the same problem when I attempt using another Android app named RoByte and when I attempt using the remoku.tv web site. What really makes it a head-scratcher is my Roku units work flawlessly (streaming media) with my network's non-industry-standard addressing scheme.
