Weather Six can not pull data JUNE 2008

Fri May 09, 2008 1:00 pm

I use Weather Six a lot and now if can not pull the data for the cities I use. The funny thing is the radar still works though...

I am trying to contact the author to see if it can be addressed.
Anyone else seeing this?

I bet The Weather Channel changed their data feed format.

Thanks, Matt

Thanks Bill! Now I know its not perhaps an error on my side :D

I hope he is around too. Did you go to his site and email him?

Also, there seems to be the source code there too, so if someone know how to code (not me), then we could perhaps change there the app poitns to get the data and have someone else fix it?

Keep your fingers crossed, Matt

I could probably figure out what has changed as I have some experience compiling code for the roku. If there is no response from the author within a few days I am willing to take a look at it.
The code is well structured and fairly easy to read so it shouldn't be too hard to resolve. (famous last words!)

I may be the only active coder on the roku as of now

Sorry guys for taking so long to respond. I have been out of the country for the past week.

I will take a look at the code sometime this week and release a new "fixed" version of WeatherSix.

Stay tuned for an update.... :)

Radar is hosed

Sun Jun 22, 2008 9:18 am

I am hoping its a fluke and not The Weather Channel jacking with stuff again, but I can only pull up the large radar for the whole USA and not the two smaller ones (regional).

Anyone else seeing this for their local?

It may just be a hicup on The Weather Channels end, so I am going to hang tight for a few days be fore I try to ping BJ.

TIA, Matt
