GBTV.com

Love him or hate it, Glenn Beck is launching his own web tv station and putting it on the Roku. I think this could be a massive boom for roku because many of his loyal listeners will probably end up picking a roku so they can still watch him on TV. This could actually bring a lot more channels to the Roku

I was excited when I saw GBTV thinking it stood for Green Bay TV. Glenn Beck not so much.

Roku better start beefing up their customer service department to handle all the generally confused Beck viewers!

OOPS just found out the answer to my question
Today, Beck announced his official move to the web with the launch of GBTV.
Glenn Beck TV will be a paid service,
costing regular members $4.95 a month or $49.95 a year and plus members $9.95 a month or $99.95 a year.
seems high to me.

I have no plans to ever pay for hate filled rhetoric streamed to my Roku every day, but I know those Tea Party nut jobs will!
If it doesn't work, keep beating it with the hammer till it does.

where oh where are you RokuShawnS???

must be his day off today

at any rate, as to stay on topic, Glen Becks views and opinions almost without fail differ from mine but he does have an audience (a shrinking audience according to the ratings but an audience nonetheless) and he should attract at least a few potential customers to a company that I favor. :)

Without doubt, GBTV will "really" put Roku on the map. In fact GBTV is the essence of what Roku is all about, bringing non-traditional HD media to your living room / home TV. Another stake in the heart of the traditional media transmission methods. I'm excited about it and signed up for a subscription today. Thinking of getting another Roku for family and friends now as it seems to be getting out of a lack of media choice it was in.

I'm pleased to see that the Roku is exclusively the device to bring HD GBTV for the home entertainment center.

For one channel with limited content? Yep.

I think people have been spoiled by Netflix pricing.

$5/month seems reasonable to me for highly targeted content if it's of interest to you.

My cable bill was $140/month until I cut it. That would be 28 channels at $5/month. Or Netflix, Hulu+, and 24 other channels at $5/month. I can honestly say I never watched 24 channels on cable. It was probably more like 12-15 on a regular basis.

$5 seems reasonable if it's commercial free. With commercials, I agree, it's expensive.

To each his own.I am sure there is a [shrinking] market for his delusions and hate.Well,in all honesty he admits its an act and he is playing to his audience.I guess if Jim Jones had wanted to make a Roku channel I would have supported his right to do so and Roku's additional market share. I love my Roku's.Can't wait until customer support gets those calls and this forum gets the complainers who think its a conspiracy when their Roku needs rebooting.

What are you talking about? IT IS A CONSPIRACY.

Also I hear it involves aliens controlling the Rokus and looking for a chance to abduct the device's users and then using anal probes on them.

Now: I know that excites and titillates some of you so I must say that I WAS JOKING; mostly.
