Is the private channel Istreamitall a legal pay channel?

Sat Aug 01, 2015 10:39 am

I hear a lot of people talking about a new private channel called Istreamitall on Facebook that is a pay service app that has EVERY current tv show and movie on the Roku.

I believe it is $9.99 a month but cheaper if you pay by the year.

Is this app legal?

Can I get in trouble for using it?

Anyone here using it?

Here is their site: https://www.istreamitall.com/multi/landingpage.php

Thanks for your time.

The fact they are using Whoisguard is a good clue they are not a legal service.

I've seen it popping up all over the place on Facebook too. Seems shady to me.

I'm not sure what that means exactly.

Some people are saying they (Istreamitall) found a legal loop hole and has a distributor who can buy the rights early.
That may be, but I doubt Netflix is selling them the rights to stream Orange is the New Black season 3.
They also have movies that are barely out of the movie theater or not out on DVD yet.
They get most major tv shows commercial free the next day to stream too.

It sounds like an ideal service that everyone is looking for and a possible Netflix and Hulu+ killer.
It would be nice if it was legal.

Could someone get in trouble for using it?

Not for using it. But perhaps there could be other repercussions. It boils down to someone who is stealing content from someone else is asking you for your credit card.

Yea, that is another thing I'd be concerned about since I read one of the owners had legal problems in the past with pirate boxes or something like that.
I'm guessing a pre-paid credit card with the exact amount on it would work though.
It really sounds like a good deal.
I guess there is no telling how long it will be around though. It is so much cheaper to pay for the year.
I'm kind of on the fence about it. It has everything we are looking for and it is easy enough for the whole family to use.
Then again there is the moral dilemma.
What to do, what to do?

Technically yes but practically probably no.

Having said that I am quite sure that it is illegal and when they are taken down it would not surprise me if the credit card info they get is not used to steal some big bucks. Crooks will not limit their thefts but rather they will attempt to maximize their gains from their nefarious activities.

I would not trust them with any of my financial or personal info. That would be like handing a stranger my wallet with thousands on dollars in it and telling them to "just take what you need."

FYI
Apparently they had an outage last night that made a few people nervous.

They are running a big sale for a one year subscription.
Sounds fishy to me.

Yeah, I wouldn't give my credit card info to a company that is either committing a crime or who is in the business of exploiting loopholes.

Yeah, the fine print probably says "no refunds even if we get shut down for being pirates". So people pay for a year of service, the service gets shut down in a month, and subscribers are left hanging.

Can't argue with that. Though, let's just say I've spent thousands $$$ on various "other" services as well for the family (many which they don't even use)... yeah I'm a sucker :(

iStreamITALL is absolutely illegal, and what's more, dangerous. A little searching on Reddit has turned up all anyone should need to know. iStreamItALL is run by a group who also offers a Usenet service called SmackDownOnYou. They are obviously pirating material, and have no distribution rights. It seems that many people have also been scammed out of money by them before.

https://www.reddit.com/r/usenet/comments/274bs7/smackdownonyou_scamming_us/
https://www.reddit.com/r/usenet/search?q=SmackDownOnYou&restrict_sr=on

Even if none of these many complaints turned out to be true, there's still the issue that all of this is completely illegal. It is illegal for them to acquire and distribute, and it is illegal for anyone to stream said material. I would also imagine that as a paid streaming site, the copyright holders would be very interested in shutting this group down when they get word of this. If and when that does happen, anyone who has used them would have their billing information on file. I'd hate to see what might be done with that information.

TL;DR: Don't use it! Very bad idea!

I guess Istreamitall is down for many paying subscribers.
I'm glad I didn't pay a dime.
There are a lot of angry individuals on the many Roku Facebook pages about this.
Apparently some of them just paid for a year up front.
Rumor has it the owner is going to change the channel code and start again.
I hope they catch him.

Their message to the members on their Facebook page.

Roku account page to add a private channel. I guess they found a loophole and changed the private channel code.

Captions are above each picture.
It has been confirmed that the new channel code works with people's original sign in information!
I don't understand how they are getting away with this if it is illegal!
People are paying by the year left and right because they keep extending their "Sale"!
